VALLEY FORGE
Morning Tour: 4 hrs.   I   $48 per person

The Encampment at Valley Forge is the epic story of an army’s struggle to survive not only the brutal winter of 1777-78 but also its ability to continue as a fighting force.  Your guide will share the living history as you travel through the countryside where General George Washington and his beleaguered Continental Army withdrew after the Battle of Germantown.  Featured sites include the farmhouse that Washington used as his headquarters, soldiers’ huts, earthen fortifications, the Memorial Chapel and the Memorial Arch.
